Additive Manufacturing (or 3D Printing)
In recent years this technology has made huge advances in both the materials that can be printed and the durability of the parts: just a couple of years ago the parts produced by this process were either too delicate to use as finished components or too expensive compared to traditional metal bashing techniques.
Today it has become cost effective to print hard wearing and durable parts that include features that are usually reserved for mass produced components.
