You might have picked up that I am not an engineer which makes me the odd one out here at Bennett Engineering.

Having spent the bulk of my career in an international manufacturing company I have a real passion for the sector. I also have a lot of experience within the factory setting and can spot things that are related to LEAN or safety quite quickly. So, you can bring me onto your site and I will understand what you are manufacturing and how quite quickly.

My background is in business management, marketing, customer service, project management and sales which is exactly what I do here at Bennett Engineering on a day-to-day basis. I am here to ensure you are ‘attracted’ to our company, want to work with us, sign on the dotted line (actually more likely we’ll be signing your NDA!) and then we proceed to deliver your project on time and in full. I am a whiz at notetaking so I will be there to capture your project brief, document the project as it moves along and provide you with a round up at the end of the project if needed.

Main responsibilities within Bennett Engineering:

• Day to day operations of the business alongside Craig
• Marketing the business
• Liaising with suppliers and clients
• Having lots of meetings or site visits!
• Managing engineering and manufacturing projects

 What I enjoy most at Bennett Engineering:

• The range of projects that come through the door
• The solid team who support each other
• The ability to learn something new every day
• The opportunity to solve real challenges for businesses

There isn’t a what I don’t enjoy option here but one of the things that’s really tricky for me from a marketing perspective is that often I can’t talk about the projects we have worked on publicly as we’ve signed an NDA. That makes it a challenge for people to understand our design engineering expertise, that is until I get the opportunity to sit with them and wow them!

What do you think sets Bennett Engineering apart:

I use the term GAF (Give A F*$k) factors and I think Bennett Engineering has a lot of those to help people choose us. The best one is the care, passion, helpfulness, knowledge and interest the engineering team show for every client and every project. The next one is the ‘history’ of the business; the team have delivered some phenomenal projects over the years. Also the expertise in the room is about providing options, simplifying and delivering on time and in full for ANY business size in any sector. All of the team are ‘hands on deck’ in order to get the work completed to a high standard, there’s no issues with anyone asking questions or providing opinions for any project or option we’re working on. Delivering the highest quality is always at the heart of Bennett Engineering and that makes me proud.

If you could meet any historical figure who would it be:

There are a few; I would love to sit quietly with Mother Theresa, simply because I have such respect for her work ethic and compassion levels. Another one I would like to sit and chat with is Jane Austen, now I am not a mad fan of all of her novels BUT I have the highest regard for the legacy she has created in a time when women probably weren’t encouraged to be writing books for pleasure.

Then finally I would like to meet a historical explorer like Francis Drake; the courage in setting sail and finding tribes, peoples and places that were so different to where you came from blows my mind from the times they lived in.
